The former G2 and Heretics jungler Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski has opened up about his decision to step away from professional League of Legends, revealing during a recent episode of EUphoria that he received an offer from Natus Vincere but ultimately chose not to return to the LEC for the 2025 season. Instead, he currently plays for NORD in the NLC and serves as a co-streamer for NaVi’s matches.

“NaVi offered me a spot on the team,” Jankos said, reflecting on the offseason. “I didn’t want to return to the LEC if I couldn’t give it 150%.”

Jankos cited burnout and underwhelming results in recent years as key factors in his decision. After two seasons with Team Heretics that fell short of expectations, the 29-year-old said his confidence had taken a hit.

“I didn’t have the best two years in Heretics when it comes to results, and that kind of killed my confidence.”

A return to pro play?

While a return to the LEC in 2025 was on the table, Jankos said he wasn’t ready to commit to the level of focus and energy the league demands.

“I didn’t join the LEC this year because I was burned out.”

For now, the Polish jungler is turning his attention to streaming and content creation, with plans to stay active in the League of Legends scene through co-streaming and online coverage.

“Next year, I’m most likely going to focus more on content creation and co-streaming.”
