MKOI mid laner Joseph “Jojopyun” Joon Pyun gave a blunt post-MSI 2025 verdict on the latest episode of EUphoria, balancing criticism with belief in Europe’s ceiling.

“EU as a whole had a bad MSI performance,” he said. “I think G2 choked versus FlyQuest at MSI. We shouldn’t have lost versus CFO or BLG, the way we lost was criminal.”

The results back up the frustration: G2 were swept 3–0 by FlyQuest in the lower bracket, while MKOI fell 3–1 to CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) and exited alongside G2 in the 7–8th range. MKOI had already lost 3–1 to Bilibili Gaming (BLG) in the upper bracket, which set up their lower-bracket elimination.

“Saying EU is doomed because of that is crazy”

Jojopyun pushed back on sweeping narratives about decline. “Saying EU is doomed because of that is crazy to me, but we will see at Worlds. I know for a fact that the EU top teams right now are really good.”

He pointed to the BLG series as an example of something he needs to improve, saying, “I think I played really well vs BLG individually and we had control in a lot of the games,” but noting the importance of focusing on the present rather than dwelling on past results.
