- Lore Crossover Event — Season 3 of 2025 merges Noxus and Spirit Blossom, featuring LeBlanc, Yunara, Atakhan, and Xin Zhao in a unified story arc.
- The Rift You Know — Classic Summoner’s Rift is back for now, with new thematic map versions still planned.
Champions & Cosmetics
- Xin Zhao’s Makeover — Full visual update for base model and skins. Commando & Imperial skins increase from 520 RP to 750 RP in 25.17 (old pricing until then). New Epic skin launches in Act 1.

- Pass Slimdown — Battle Pass level cap lowered from 50 to 48; no XP or reward cuts. Mythic Shop adds emotes and icons from TFT Passes.

- Doom Mode Expanded — Doom Bots return in 25.17 with new bots, a boss fight, difficulty tiers, curses, missions, and rotating “Trials of Doom” challenges.
- New Way to Move — WASD controls coming to PBE first, then unranked, then ranked after balance tuning. Optional control scheme for all players.

- Smurfing Gets Smacked — Starting 25.18, stricter penalties for boosting, hitchhiking, account sharing, and smurfing, both booster and boosted face sanctions.
- Matchmaking Overhaul — True Skill 2 live in NA (SR & ARAM) and Korea unranked. Improves placement accuracy 3–5× faster. Ranked rollout still in testing.
Esports & Events
Worlds 2025 Timeline — Anthem releases Oct 10, Worlds start Oct 14 in Beijing, Finals on Nov 9 in Chengdu.
