Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz was elated after Fnatic beat Karmine Corp 3-1 to secure a Worlds berth and set up one more match at the Caja Mágica against MKOI. In this exclusive interview with LOLNOW.GG, the star jungler talks about playing in front of a home crowd, Oscarinin’s dominant night over Canna, and chasing his first LEC title on home soil.

Hometown heroes
Razork and Oscarinin were Friday’s big hometown heroes. The two Spaniards took down KC 3-1 to secure Fnatic’s ninth straight Worlds appearance and a match against MKOI in the lower bracket final.
It was obvious how much the match meant to the Spanish jungler.
“It was amazing. There is so much noise that you have to scream to hear each other. Madrid feels special to me.”
While they did qualify for Worlds, the season is not over. The team is now fully focused on going for the title, but to do that they have to beat both MKOI and G2. Since joining the LEC, Razork has finished second, third, or fourth ten times, but has never won a title, something he dreams of doing in Madrid.
“I have tried so hard for so many years to win the LEC. To win my first title at a huge event in my hometown would be a dream.”
One dimensional
In the regular season a lot of Fnatic’s focus was on the bot lane pairing of Mikyx and Upset, and we often saw Oscarinin left on an island top to fend for himself. This series was very different. Razork and Fnatic likely realised other teams had figured them out, so this time the focus was on Oscarinin.
“We do not want to be one-dimensional. Oscar has stepped up a lot in scrims and in communication, so it is easier to play around him.”
With the performance the Spanish top laner had against Canna, widely regarded as one of the best in Europe, the shift in focus worked out incredibly well.
“Oscar is very good, he usually does well in scrims. Sometimes consistency is the issue, but today he had a stellar day.”
Fnatic will take on MKOI this Saturday in the Caja Mágica for a spot in the finals against G2.
