Processing the defeat
For Myrwn, the immediate feeling after the series was disappointment.
“We had a really good opportunity and I think we wasted it today. Letting down a lot of people is not easy.”
He added that the stage and the home crowd usually lift the team, but this time the spark did not come.
“Normally we use the crowd well and get hyped, but today we were not there.”
Looking back at the games, Myrwn pointed to execution rather than preparation.
“We overextended a lot, did not play for the same things, and split up too much on the map. In fights they pulled the trigger better.”

Respect level rose this split
MKOI’s rise has changed how scrims and officials feel. After winning the LEC Spring Split title teams try harder against you, according to Myrwn.
“Last split people probably underestimated us. This split they took us much more seriously. In scrims everyone tries harder against you, it is like their objective is to beat you.”
G2 in the Summer Split has looked like a completely new team compared to Spring and Winter, and Myrwn also felt that today.
“They are more solid and consistent now. If you make mistakes, they punish instantly.
The loss stings, but attention now turns to the international stage with Worlds in China coming up.
“I will take a short break to see my family and friends who came here, but I also want to get back to work quickly.”
With the disappointment in Madrid, Myrwn want to move forward and is looking to Worlds as an opportunity to forget the defeat.
“I want to forget this split and make good use of Worlds.”
