Orianna took the clearest hit. Her base health dropped from 585 to 565, her passive stack damage dropped from 20% to 15%, and Shockwave lost base damage. The AP ratio went up, but that does not help much when early lane is the problem.

That change is important for ranked. Orianna was one of those picks that made bad lanes feel manageable. She could farm, poke, shield, scale, and still bring one of the best teamfight buttons in the game.

Ryze also lost early power. His base health dropped from 645 to 620, and his base AD dropped from 58 to 55. That matters for trading and last-hitting, especially before he gets comfortable scaling items.

Meanwhile, Hwei, Sylas, Syndra, and Tristana all got help. Hwei picked up more AP scaling and a lower E cooldown. Sylas got better Q damage and stronger AP scaling on W healing. Syndra gained health and more Q damage. Tristana got better AD growth and cheaper Q mana.

Top Lane Got More Duel Pressure

Top lane is one of the biggest winners from this patch, at least for players who like fighting.

Aatrox got more sweet spot damage on Q, moving from 70 to 75 bonus damage. That is not a giant buff, but Aatrox players know how much those sweet spots matter. If he lands the skill check, the trade hurts more.

Gwen got better early power too. Her Q damage now scales higher per snip, and her E attack speed starts at 30% instead of 20%. That helps her survive the awkward early phase before she becomes a real side-lane problem.

The shield moved from 30% max health for 30 seconds to 35% max health for 10 seconds. That is a huge change in feel. The shield is bigger, but the window is much shorter.

Before, players could Teleport and still have time to walk, reposition, and slowly force action. Now, the value asks for a much faster decision. If you TP and wander around, the shield is gone.

ADC Players Need To Recheck Varus Builds

Varus was hit in a way that clearly targets early poke and lethality pressure.

His Q bonus AD scaling dropped on both minimum and maximum charge, moving from 100% to 80% and from 150% to 120%. His W on-hit damage also dropped at every rank. His passive got more reward on champion kills, but less attack speed from non-champion kills.

That changes the feel of lane. Varus can still work, but the old poke-first bullying pattern is weaker. If you were winning lane by landing long Qs and forcing recalls, that plan is less free now.

Support And Behavior Changes Matter Too

Yuumi buffs will annoy some people right away.

Her passive heal AP ratio moved from 25% to 30%, and her E shield AP ratio jumped from 30% to 40%. That helps her enchanter item path after earlier Moonstone changes hurt her more than expected.

The bigger ranked change may be Honor in the social panel. Players can now see Honor and active penalty information more clearly. That means penalties, restrictions, and redemption progress are harder to ignore.
