Naak Nako

Vitality’s top laner Kaan “Naak Nako” Okan did not hold back after a 3-1 win over Heretics. He called the day “long because of game one,” then said he “was expecting a 3-0, clean stomp,” adding that he does not think Heretics are on their level and that “one more game was a waste of time.”

A blunt assessment

Asked how the day felt, Naak Nako went straight to the point. He felt the series should have ended faster, and he did not rate Heretics highly.

“I was expecting a 3-0, clean stomp. I do not think they are good. One more game was a waste of time.”

He explained why the opener slipped away. Vitality broke the base, took all three inhibitors, and still let the game flip after an overreach under the Nexus turrets. With Aphelios and Orianna outranging, clean engages disappeared.

“If we did not go too deep in the last fight, we would have won. We forced it and it failed. Nice try, but it sucks.”

The rest of the series looked messy because Vitality often met Heretics in grouped fights instead of playing the map. Naak Nako said the read was clear, Heretics want to drop side waves and force 5v5s.

Vitality, for some reason, sometimes took those fights.

“If you just push sides you win the map, but we kept fighting and kind of egoing them.”

What comes next

Preparation for Vitality focused on repeatable, simple drafts, players handled reviews while coaches concentrated on pick order. Naak Nako expects a tougher opponent in the next round and kept the prediction tied to execution. They will play either KC or G2 – and he thinks they will play KC.

And while we won’t know his opponent before Sunday evening, he wasn’t afraid to give a prediction for the series.

“It depends on draft, but with a good draft, we will win.”

He also welcomed the fearless format because it opens top lane choices and rewards deeper preparation. On format more broadly, his stance matched what many pros have said this split.

“We play too few games. Every team should play more on stage. The more stage time, the better.”

Bottom line, Vitality felt in control, think 3-1 flatters Heretics, and have already shifted focus to the next round.
