Week 3 delivered clear statements. G2 took down Fnatic and BDS in clean 2–0s to seize control of Group B, while Vitality banked a 2–0 over NAVI and a clutch 2–1 against Karmine Corp. KOI handled business versus NAVI, and SK Gaming grabbed a much-needed series win over Team Heretics.

Highlight of the week

While BDS might have lost their series against G2, we will still give Nuc the highlight of the week. Why? Because it’s not every week you solokill the greatest european midlaner of all time.

Saturday, August 16

Movistar KOI 2–0 Natus Vincere
KOI edged a scrappy game 1, trading blows throughout before closing on Elder. They finished 15–14 in kills with an 8–3 tower lead, taking Baron and Elder to outscale NAVI, who had stacked four early drakes.

Game 2 turned into a marathon. NAVI found two Barons to stay afloat, but KOI’s late-fight setup and four-drake stack decided it. KOI ended 23–14 in kills, 10–6 in towers, and wrapped the sweep in 48 miutes.

Team Heretics 1–2 SK Gaming
SK set the tone in game 1 with clean mid-game execution and objective control. They won 14–8 in kills, 9–2 in towers, matched drakes at three apiece, and secured Baron to slam the door in 39 minutes.

Heretics answered in game 2. With stronger skirmish setups, TH knocked down 11 towers to 4, stacked three drakes, and claimed Baron to force a decider in 34 minutes.

Game 3 was all SK. They squeezed the map, dominated the killscore 10–2 and had an 11–3 tower lead, and closed in 34 minutes behind a Baron and the only drake of the game.

Sunday, August 17

Team Vitality 2–0 Natus Vincere
Vitality dominated game 1 from the first skirmishes and never let NAVI onto dragons. They finished 23–7 in kills, 9–3 in towers, swept four drakes to zero, and took Baron to end in just under 30 minutes.

Game 2 was even cleaner. Vitality posted a 16–0 shutout in kills, went 9–1 on towers, stacked three drakes to one, and secured Baron to close in 28 minutes.

Fnatic 0–2 G2 Esports
G2 opened with a controlled game 1, winning 20–4 in kills and 10–2 in towers while taking three drakes to two and Baron at 31:50. Hans sama’s Kai’Sa was flawless as G2 front-to-backed every major fight.

The closer followed the same script. G2 wrapped the series 15–7 in kills with another 10–2 tower lead, two drakes to one, and Baron at 31:45, shutting down Fnatic’s mid-game attempts before they could snowball.

Monday, August 18

Karmine Corp 1–2 Team Vitality
KCorp steamrolled Vitality in game 1 with 21-1 in kills, a 10–0 tower lead and only allowing Vitality to take a single drake before closing out the first game of the series in an incredible 26 minutes.

Vitality hit back in game 2 and while the early game was even in gold, Vitality dominated the objectives. The first two drakes, all three void grubs, rift herald and first turret was what Vitality got unjust 17 minutes. All of these things were also before KCorp their first objective of the game: an ocean drake. Vitality won game 2 in 32 minutes.

Game 3 was much closer than any of the two previous games. The game went back and forth in both objectives and gold with KCorp getting 3 drakes, rift herald and atakhan. However it was not enough as Vitality themselves secured two barons and closed out game 3 in almost 40 minutes with Carzzy dominating on Xayah with a 12/2/3 scoreline.

G2 Esports 2–0 Team BDS
While BDS took an early lead against G2 and set Caps’ Annie behind it was not enough for BDS. BrokenBlade’s K’Sante and Caps’ Annie front-to-backed fights while Labrov’s Braum anchored engages and G2 closed out game 1 in 37 minutes.

Game 2 was much more one-sided as G2 clapped BDS, even though the Swiss organization had a decent early game, they couldn’t match G2 in the midgame. The game ended with a killscore in favor of G2 by 15–3 and 9-4 in towers. G2 closed out the game and the series in just 26 minutes.
