G2 finish the split unbeaten, and Rasmus “Caps” Winther sets a clear tone for playoffs. The message is carry form into the bracket, keep discipline, and turn consistency into a trophy push.
“It’s the first undefeated regular season I’ve had. I’m happy with it. We’re playing well, and now we need to keep it up for playoffs.”
Confidence and growth after MSI
The summer arc for G2 is sharper decisions and cleaner follow through, especially in the decision making department. Here Caps alludes to how being more confident has helped G2 get more out of their plays.

“Before, we hesitated and doubted a lot of our plays. Now we play with more confidence. The plays might not be perfect, everyone makes mistakes, but when we commit they usually work out.”
Facing the world’s best at MSI and EWC helps Caps and G2 raise the bar and fold those lessons into their style, even if their international results this year have not been pretty.
“MSI was a big wake up call for us. We realized we had to step up, and we saw some of the ways they played that we could kind of copy paste. It was a great experience, even though we got beat pretty badly.”
The attention for G2 now turns to the final practice blocks before playoffs, where the staff and players aim to lock a reliable identity and maximize value from every scrim.
“We still have a long way to go, so the next month or two is super important. If we give it our all in scrims and pick up as many things as possible, we can become the best.”
Goals and best of fives
The priority for Caps and G2 is straightforward, secure the domestic crown and arrive at international play with a style that holds under pressure.
“We definitely want to get the LEC title, because we failed to do it the other two splits this year. Thats definitely our main focus for now.”
The addition of fearless draft has shaped the current LEC draft landscape and rewards depth and creativity late in series, a space where G2 are comfortable.
“Going into best of fives we need to be creative in later games. We like those chaotic games.”
