BDS’ French mid laner Ilias “nuc” Bizriken was very honest after a 3-0 loss to GIANTX. He pointed to a long, draining year, late roster changes, and a rough mental state as to what went wrong.

Health, stress and mixed results
Across esports there is growing focus on physical and mental health. Eating well, working out, and being in the right state of mind before a competitive stretch can be a real edge, something Nuc points to repeatedly.
“I had some issues related to how hard I was going on myself and how hard I was pushing myself with the game.”
Performing while stressed and mentally off is difficult, and nuc draws a straight line from the hectic year to the mental strain he’s been under.
“I had injuries on my arms and a breakdown mentally recently, I want to feel good again and take care of my body.”

The reset is not just time off, it is a rebuild of habits so the baseline pressure comes down and performance can follow.
“The biggest thing is not being under perma stress, your body is just getting every time this dose of stress, every day, every day, every day, non stop. At some point it goes crazy.”
When that is the baseline, execution tightens, comms hesitate, and small deficits can seem like a mountain to climb.
The priority now is health first, League of Legends second.
“Doing sports, eating better, getting my resources back with friends and family, finding my habits again to actually be happy.”
A new roster
nuc linked the strain directly to Sunday’s result. Confidence and trust, he said, are the first things to crumble when you carry months of pressure into a best of five.
“On stage you need the most confidence and the most trust as a team, and I do not think we really had it because of what happened during this year.”
The series looked like that story on repeat, a team with pieces, but not the confidence or trust in each other to play to its ceiling. The timeline made it worse.
“We did roster changes after two splits, which is quite late, because the previous roster could not work together.”
The new five made more sense on paper, but with the very short summer split format, there was not a lot of time to work on things as a team.
“This roster makes way more sense, we just did not have time to become a good team, they were the way better team today.”
Even with the confidence of BDS becoming better if they get some more time, the French midlaner is not sure what the next year will bring for him.
“We will see next year, because I think a lot of things will change. I do not know if I will be here. I do not know if people in the roster will be here.”
