In an epic five game World Championship 2025 T1 overcame KT to secure their 6th Worlds title – and their third in a row.

The Telekom showdown

While T1 are rarely considered underdogs, this year they truly were. As the LCK’s fourth seed, few expected them to go from play-ins all the way to the finals. But the T1 Worlds buff is real.

The same goes for KT. They entered as the LCK’s third seed, largely thanks to a strong series against Gen.G in the LCK Playoffs, and incredibly, they only dropped a single game to Gen.G before the finals.

Nonetheless, KT weren’t resilient enough to outlast the veterans of T1, who came back from a 1–2 deficit to win the series 3–2.

All five T1 members were understandably thrilled to lift the Summoner’s Cup, but for one of them, Doran, it was extra special. The toplaner has been chasing this moment for years, and in his first finals appearance, he finally took home the trophy.

Faker claimed his sixth Worlds title, while Keria, Oner, and Gumayusi each celebrated their third.
