The first game of Worlds 2025 where two of the better teams meet and the game delivered. First blood arrived at eight minutes when Elyoya’s Jarvan caught Jojopyun’s Galio in the river. KT still secured the Voidgrubs, while MKOI took the first drake.
Supa’s Yunara delivered the first solo kill, running down deokdam’s Caitlyn with Ghost. When deokdam returned, Elyoya punished again, pushing MKOI to a 2k lead, most of it on Supa.
At Rift Herald, KT forced a greedy 4v5. MKOI pounced: Elyoya flashed in, Jojopyun followed with Galio ultimate, and they claimed two kills plus the Herald.
By 22 minutes MKOI had given up only one turret and three Grubs, and every MKOI laner was ahead of their counterpart. At Atakhan, Bdd’s Orianna landed a four man Shockwave with PerfecT’s Rumble ultimate layered on to to win the fight, but Elyoya slipped in for a heroic steal and even snagged a kill before falling.
With MKOI on soul point, you might expect a drake fight next. Instead, a split mid engage backfired. KT won instantly, took both the drake and Baron, and swung to a 3.7k lead.
By 29 minutes the script had flipped: MKOI trailed 8–7 in kills, now down 5.5k gold, and towers were 6–4 in KT’s favor. A desperate MKOI found a good mid lane flank just before Baron, but KT were too far ahead. They turned the fight, wiped MKOI, ran down mid, and closed the game.
